Oneonta: Coffee/breakfast Latte Lounge: This cafe is always busy; great coffee and breakfast. Sit outside at a little table, right on Main Street. Great for conversation and people watching. Dunkin Donuts: You already know about this national chain; reliable standby for grabbing your coffee and a quick bite. Social Eats: Indoor and outdoor seating and dog friendly! They have great coffee and food, amazing vegan options and a full bar. Awesome spot for brunch. Green Earth: love the matcha! They also have coffee, snacks and sandwiches. All organic and good vegan/vegetarian options also. Nice places for a sit-down, stay a while type of meal: The Depot: The Depot is an old train station so it has a unique vibe. You'd never expect to find a restaurant at this location! The pizza (cheese UNDERNEATH the sauce) and garbage wings are what this place is known for. The Autumn Cafe: The Autumn is a fantastic restaurant and bar, great for any meal of the day. They have many vegan and vegetarian options, and Sunday brunch! If you get the chance, get a table outside on their deck under an umbrella. Fiesta Mexican Grill: Fun place! All kinds of flavored margaritas and classic dishes. Toscana Northern Italian Grill: The food at Toscana is amazing, and so is the atmosphere! It's a great spot for date night or dinner out with friends. The bar is one of the nicest in town. Bella Michael’s: Great cocktails and food.. Try the Chicken Bella Michael, or one of the specials. Sloan’s New York Grill: The smoked meats and Utica Chicken are awesome! Casual, quick, also good for takeout: Wise Guys Sammies: BIG sandwiches, come hungry. Total comfort food. Grab a beer here, too. Tino’s Pizza: Tino's is a hometown favorite, known for it's "cold cheese" pizza which is a slice of cheese pizza, topped with a huge handful of cold, shredded mozzarella right before it's served. It's amazing. Undercover Eggplant: Grab some lunch from here; they have tables inside and outside behind the restaurant, but often we take this food to go. The original cheese pizza, broccoli pie and tuscan chicken salad are my favorites! They also have homemade soups every day. Brooks BBQ: Brooks' is a family owned BBQ place that's known for their bbq chicken, which you've got to try if you're coming here. Their ribs are also a favorite in our family. It's also nice that they have outdoor seating and a play area to keep the kids occupied while the adults enjoy the meal. Surrounding Area: Mel’s at 22: The atmosphere and food are great at Mel’s. I like that there’s both indoor and outdoor seating. Blue Mingo Grill: The scenic view and tables right out on the deck or next to the lake are the reason I love this place.
Oneonta: Muddy River Farm Brewery: This place is a taproom featuring local beers. They also have wine and hard seltzers, plus tacos! Great atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating. Roots Brewing Company: Stop here if you like craft beers! They have a small selection of food to go with your flight beer samples. b Side: b Side is a classy bar with a great atmosphere, sophisticated cocktails and they often have live music. The food is also wonderful. Fiesta Mexican Grill & Cantina: go here if you’re in the mood for margaritas and tequila. The Copper Fox: Cold beer and mixed drinks, pool tables, pub food. A casual spot to meet up with friends for a drink. Surrounding Area: Brewery Ommegang: Ommegang is a local brewery that has great beers, a cafe and does lots of special events and tours. Red Shed Brewery: Awesome place for beers and entertainment. Outdoor games, tables and a food truck. Bring the dog and the kids with you! Pail Shop Winery: This winery does tastings and has a nice, open and airy feel. The surrounding scenery is very pretty and the people are friendly. Awestruck Ciders: Stop in to try a flight of hard ciders and enjoy the cool atmosphere.
Noah’s World: indoor play space for young children. They’ve got tons of different toys and activities to entertain your kids. Interskate 88: The kids will love it here. Classic roller skating rink, plus laser tag, arcade games and an indoor jungle gym. They sell pizza, hot dogs, candy and drinks. Table Rock Bouldering: Indoor rock climbing! Fun place to try, our kids love it. Oneonta Sports Park: Hit a bucket of balls at the driving range, then play a round of mini golf or par-3 golf on their small course. Our family has a great time here and we go often. Greater Plains Town Pool: The Oneonta town pool is a public pool with lifeguards, located right next to Greater Plains Elementary School. Our kids have enjoyed going here to swim with their friends.
Hiking on Table Rock trail: Find this place on the "All Trails" app and take a hike in the woods. Gorgeous scenery! Mountain Biking: trails behind the Oneonta High School Neahwa Park: a pond, walking trails, sports fields, basketball and pickleball courts, playground and dog park Wilber Park: tennis courts, public pool, playground mounting biking/hiking and walking trails Susquehanna Greenway: grassy walking trail, nice place to walk the dog. Gilbert Lake State Park: Spend a day at Gilbert Lake, hike the trail around the lake, spend some time on the beach, grab a snack or lunch from the concession stand or have a picnic or cookout, play frisbee or volleyball...there's so much to do here. There's a playground for kids right near the beach, too. Oneonta Country Club: Nice spot to play golf, open to the public.
Southside Cinema: Good for when you're in the mood for the movie theater experience. Oneonta Outlaws, Damaschke Field: Great small baseball park to watch the Outlaws. Take the whole family. It's relaxed and casual. Roundhouse Indoor Golf: this place has 2 golf simulators, serves beer and wine and simple snacks. It's a great time for the adults on a rainy day or after dark. Make a reservation! Cooperstown Escape Rooms: a few different escape rooms to choose from. This is great for groups, adults and kids included!
